New Street, Huddersfield

A round trip from North Wales to West Yorkshire with an appointment with the podiatrist in Heckmondwike and the audiologist in Honley.

I also stopped off for a coffee with my cousin in Norristhorpe and had a quick whizz around Huddersfield centre before heading home.

A cold, cloudy day with some showers and fog on the higher parts of the M62.

Today's photo shows the re-vamped New Street in Huddersfield with the controversial (and expensive) vertical planters.

In my opinion it's a slight improvement on how it looked four years ago but I prefer the old style street lights and the town has never really been the same since M&S closed down in 2019.
