Belated Birthday Beef

It was one of the bestests birthday last weekend but she buggered off down south camping without us, so we had to wait a whole nine days to celebrate. Personally, I don't think she deserved her presents playing a stunt like that but hey we are forgiving people, especially when Steak is involved.

So today we mostly ate beef. The five of us with our 'boys' and a couple of kids (purely for entertainment only) went to the lovely Miller and Carter to delight our taste buds with steak, or for the birthday girl, chocolate orange brownie. Me and the boy forgot our impending wedding fund shortages and myfitness app and opted for the chateaubriand. My it was good. But I have to say I enjoy the wedge of lettuce and stilton sauce just as much and the free cocktail washed it all down nicely.

Unfortunately we were all too engrossed in our food to take a picture of all of us, so here are the dregs, getting one last beer in before home time.

Happy birthday Nic, welcome to your 30's! Hope you like it as much as I do! Sorry you didn't get your orange chocolate brownie. I think now you are 30 you have a right to send a complaint letter! xx
