Out and About

High above the Humber

A trip to Hull to visit Uncle Bryan; my late father's baby brother.  We felt we should walk across the  iconic Humber Bridge which we learned was the longest suspension bridge in the world when it was opened in 1981.  B  told us about the paddle steamer that offered trips across before the bridge was built.   He turned down the walk across the bridge but met up afterwards for a walk round the park and a coffee stop on the shore.   Oh and we ticked off the highest point in East Riding of Yorkshire on the way over. Extra- we had to squeeze through a hedge into a field but could drive very close.  One of our easiest county tops.
