Mandarin duck mural

I have driven past this mural several times but there is no parking on the street where I see it. Plus it is not an area where I want to walk by myself with a camera. A nearby parking lot was almost empty this morning so I decided it would be a good time to get a photo.  Of course, 2 of the 4 cars in the parking lot had to be parked close to the mural.
I continued on to downtown so I could take a walk around to get more photos of murals. The Photo Society theme this month is street art, so I should have lots of photos to submit for it.
I bought a planter with a trellis and a greenhouse cover over the trellis. I finally got it set up on the deck today. I planted some lettuce and snow peas in it for now, and I hope to put a cherry tomato plant in it in early June.
The carpenter was here today working on getting things ready to put the siding back on the house where the windows were replaced. He went down to a food truck that is at the bottom of the hill and bought a pizza. I was out for a little while this afternoon, when I came home he asked me if I had ever had their pizza. I had not tried it, so he gave me a piece. Next time I want a pizza, I know where I am going. It was spicy which I like.
A somber weekend here in Nova Scotia. Five years ago, in the middle of the first covid lockdown, the worst mass murder in Canada happened. A dentist went on a rampage and killed 22 people including an RCMP officer. He was shot by police when he stopped to put some gas in his car and a couple of officers happened to be at the gas station and realized he was the one they were looking for. His wife was the first one he tried to kill, but she managed to get away and hide in the woods.
Showers in the forecast for tomorrow, but I think I will go to Bridgewater anyways. One of the nurseries opens for the season and they usually have some good deals for their opening day.
