Osprey
I headed for Bridgewater area this morning, one of the nurseries was having their season opening sale. Any of the perennials left from last year are stored in a greenhouse for the winter. In the spring, they put them on sale for their opening day. This year they were selling them for $5.99 and the regular price is $16.99 to $29.99. I bought 18 of them, a couple for me, and the rest will be used on various jobs.
I made a couple of other stops in the area for treats and lunch. I came home thru Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. There are a couple of osprey nests in Lunenburg and I found one of them occupied.
I stopped at Queensland Beach to get out and stretch. There was a girl there by herself. She stripped down to here 2 piece bathing suit and went into the water. She had flippers with her and she put them on when she got out about chest deep. Now the air temperature was 7 C, and this is the Atlantic Ocean in April, so the water temperature was likely only 2 or 3 C. This girl must be used to cold water swimming, but even so, it would be dangerous. There was no one else on the beach walking, as the tide was coming in, and only a couple of other cars in the parking lot. I didn't wait around to see how far out she went.
