The Tern Turn-0n
What a grand morning it was at the seashore...THE GULF OF MEXICO! Hundreds of shorebirds preening, bathing, and yes...mating.
The two terns "waltzed" around each other 10-11-12 times before the male leap-frogged on the female.
After watching all the "activity" at the shore, I came back to the condo and googled...Do terns mate for life? I would have wagered a resounding NO, but amazingly...the answer was yes.
After Lisa swam, we went to a local grocery store, bought a beef roast with all the fixins, and had Lisa's cousin Jim over for supper. It was delicious.
I'm not sure how to say this, but I said the morning was grand...but was it 2,219 pictures grand? Unbelievable Do you know how long it takes to go through 2,219 pictures? I ended up seeing so much white that I thought my brown eyes were going to turn white.
But, like I said...grand, glorious, and made me giddy.
