Pink and white
I paid for last night's relatively minor 'excesses' during the night with sleeplessness so I caught up on some radio drama to take my mind of my stomach. And then I treated myself to a long lie as of course I dozed off around getting up time.
Spent ages sewing and re-sewing names. I don't remember this being so difficult 25 years ago but my eyes have aged. Then I delivered the flowers, the egg and a card to M. She does not look one day off 80.
After that it was down to Mum's to deliver her flowers and egg. She has a surfeit of flowers, mainly tulips, so I sorted them out and found another couple of vases, updated her of #3 son's woes and the email from her nephew and checked her cupboards. While I was there my niece phoned as it is F's 8th birthday today. The kids were very noisy in the background. Being in Gateshead their holidays run on longer than here. I also reprogrammed a heater, switched off a storage heater, switched on a storage heater (than had mysteriously had its plugged pulled out) and loaded the old microwave into the car. That was a good couple of hours work.
The sun has reappeared but it's still chilly. I had thought of going to see the blossom on the Meadows but parking would be difficult, better to go on foot. So instead the blossom on the way home. It is always so pretty and so fleeting.
Willow is asleep on my mohair wrap and I'm thinking of getting back to sewing now the names are finished.
