Returning home

Guess what ….. raining and windy this morning!  We spotted 3 or 4 swimmers in the sea ….. it must have been freezing.  They didn’t swim out too far, it was quite choppy.

We had to be out of the house by 10am so by 7 am we were up organised and packing room by room, with three little helpers (and a dog).  We all managed to leave before 10am - traffic good although raining most of the time through Wales.  One services stop in Wales for a comfort break and a coffee, then decided to go over the old bridge back into England.   By the time we had reached England the rain had stopped and the sun was shining.  

Made it home in good time (2pm), quick unpack if the car and over to collect Lili.  She was pleased to see us but by the time we had got home she was a bit unsettled, wandering around.  I had placed a shopping order for, what I thought was delivery this afternoon.  However, some issues with the payment.  Long story short - paid over the phone and they confirmed the order would be ready to collect at the booked time (second faux par).  Hubby went and collected.

Lovely walk with Lili late afternoon which helped her get back into her routine - she was hungry for tea when we got home.  She has slept all evening on the settee back in her comfort bed.

Great holiday with the family, lots of memories made and enjoyable times together - if only the weather was better.  Already planning the next family holiday for 2027.
