Easter Fun
Since my grandkids go to their mom's tomorrow morning, my son brought them over today for our traditional Easter activities. The Easter Bunny was particularly clever hiding eggs this year, so it took the kids quite a long time to find them all. My son had the brilliant idea of giving each of the kids specific colors of eggs to find - my 11 year-old granddaughter is particularly adept at finding the eggs which upsets my 7 year-old grandson. The idea worked beautifully - no tears, no tantrums!
The kids had asked for ham and bacon (!) sandwiches, which is what we did last year. All in all, a very grand time.
Sadly, the day was overshadowed by the passing of a friend this afternoon. He had a massive stroke on Thursday. His wife is a good friend of mine and I'm just shattered by this news. Once again I'm reminded just how fragile life is.
The macro lens is back in use today - I'm fascinated by the blue pollen on this anemone.
