Keeping busy
Ethan has been asking hubbie and I questions about where Zoe is. He understands that she has died and that she isn't coming back, but he's clearly trying to get his head around where she is now. He looked very sad when I told him she has been buried and he asked if she was in the garden. It's so hard to know much to be honest about, but he seems to be dealing with it ok (probably better than me)!
As we were both rather sad about it this morning and hubbie was doing overtime , I told Ethan I'd take him to the cinema. I was thinking of a cheap Kids AM film, but he was desperate to see Despicable Me 2 ... so we did! It was clearly a hit as he sat longer than he has ever done before without getting restless and told me afterwards that it 's a funny film and the best he has seen at the cinema!
After that, he talked me into having a game of golf at Paradise Island. Then we had some retail therapy which resulted in him getting 2 new books (he chose Rapunzel and Cinderella), new PJ's, new t-shirt , socks and an egg & spoon race game! He also got his face painted as an elephant as they were doing free face-painting down at The Centre. They had someone dressed up as The Mad Hatter who was trying to coax children into decorating cakes but Ethan wasn't having any of it! He did happily accept an already decorated one to eat though!
Over to The Foreveryoungs for dinner - when we left, Ethan and Eden were pretty hyper. Good Luck sis!
I went for a run when I got home, managing just under 9k so am pretty chuffed with that!
