Not me, the iris. She’s a variety we bought, oh, probably close to 30 years ago, at Superstition Iris Gardens in the Central Valley. I still can identify several plants from that batch we chose so long ago. It was a huge garden, and I remember walking up and down the colorful rows of flowers, marking our choices on a long order form. It must have been May. Once their crop finished blooming, they would divide the rhizomes and mail them out to customers. They are still in business, and we are still enjoying their plants.
In addition to admiring irises, I spent a fair amount of time in the garden transplanting tomato starts and putting out their support cages.
