A celebration

The twins will turn five tomorrow so we had a party for our Sunday family gathering.  As usual Lex had made new crowns with them emblazoned with their new age and we all took photos, formal and casual, of them crowned.  Here they're joking around about being photographed wearing them. In Extra is a shot of Sam with Doug.

They received lots of gifts and of course immediately sat down and looked at the books (Extra), leaving other gifts to wait.  They enjoyed their dinner and the cupcakes later, but Max was very tired and not feeling well.  It turned out he had a fever, so he had some Tylenol and we pampered him for the rest of the evening.  That meant he let me read two books to him while he nestled in the chair.

I have an early medical appointment tomorrow so I'll be turning in soon.  I thanked Manda and Andrew for the gift of the twins, as they give me such joy.
