Hiking at Bender Mountain
Saturday
The three of us enjoyed a lovely afternoon hike at Bender Mountain on the west side of the city. It had been quite a while since we’d been. As you can see from my collage, there were masses of wildflowers, particularly purple phlox and Blue eyed Mary. I took a close-up of of one of the Blue eyed Mary, but unfortunately when I viewed it on my iPad, it wasn’t clearly focused, so I didn’t include it, but they are such pretty flowers.
In the evening. Roger and I already had tickets to the Cincinnati Symphony concert, but fortunately we were able to get an extra ticket for Laura to join us. The two main works were Bruch’s violin concerto which was fabulous, and Beethoven Symphony number 3 Eroica. On the way home, at Laura’s request we stopped for Graeters Ice cream, a local staple!
