Easter Sunday
“Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! “
A glorious morning at church this morning, celebrating our risen Lord, bringing him praise with organ, voices, brass and handbells! Michael, our choir director had brought about half a dozen members of his musical family along, and we were also joined by a few other semi professional singers, to swell our choir ranks. The service started with a brass arrangement of Crown him with many crowns, followed by the opening hymn, Christ the Lord is risen today, arranged for brass, timpani, organ and handbells. We were playing handbells in this, but not in the anthem which also included handbells, but we were more necessary in the choir for that.
We enjoyed a late dinner of roast chicken, followed by trifle, again at Laura’s request! We played a board game in the afternoon, before going out again early evening to the Aronoff Theatre to see the Broadway show “& Juliet”, as a belated Christmas present from Laura.
