From My Gardens
We got up early so I’d be ready when my sister and BIL arrived. They got new phones and we had to sync my sister’s to my Amazon/Kindle account. It was very easy so she is back in e-book business. I made a sandwich and apple for the road. It was too early for my sister’s appointment; they took Sugar for a walk so she would be content for the long ride. I took a walk around the property to enjoy my spring blossoms. Many will be finished before we return in May. We picked up the hot spot from the library, dropped my sister off at the x-ray office and picked up some fresh asparagus. So far, it’s been a decent day for a long drive. The redbud trees are in bloom. Our forests are lined with them. The deciduous trees are getting their leaves in varying shades of green. All this renewal sure lifts your spirits. We are expecting rain and thunderstorms for the remaining two hours of the trip. Our tubs/coolers will be soaked. Hubby has been busy since we left. He is working outside and our ring camera shows all of his progress. We called our mother. She had a great Easter; that’s good news. She has been with us for all holidays in the past so it feels strange. My children and grands really missed her. But we are glad she is getting acquainted with other younger family members. Wishing you quality time with family. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “Flowers with the sweetest odors filled all the sunny air, and not alone refreshed the sense, but stole the mind from care.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
