Spiraea blossom

I think I must stay up longer so I can stop waking in the middle of the night. I ended up restarting my Duolingo French journey and was relieved to be able to get up and go to the pool which being Monday was warm and being a holiday (for some) was very quiet.

Home I was listening to the end of the 'Today' programme when they announced the Pope's death.  They did say he looked very frail yesterday.  Passed the news on to #1 son.  I carried on with some more sewing and before lunch went to the tip with the micro and the light that stopped working a while ago. That took some effort to fit in the car.  the tip wasn't busy either and they appear to have stopped checking bookings and the guys dumped the items for me.

The sun had kind of come out and it wasn't too cold so I moved to the garden.  Potted on the cosmos.and hoed more of the moss from the path and then hosed it down.  That was in between showers so my thoughts of moving primroses from the front will have to wait for another day.

There was nothing for it but to retreat indoors (with the heating on) and sew.  Willow kept trying to sit on my knee.  She has really turned into a lap cat.

Watched TV.  SHOTY, end of Mastermind, last night's The Piano (feelgood TV) and Big Fat Quiz of the Year, the Best Bits (funny TV).

I'm hoping that calculations for the sewing work out.  I cannot redo the border!  And I feel like I'm glued to this chair.

Todays' flowers are another regular spring blip.
