Busy day...
Day 15th of my countdown to my last day at work. The office was quiet, with most people still away for the Easter holidays.
When I got home, I had my orders to make more meringues — the leftovers I dropped off to Claire and G didn’t last long as Dad had a share too, and before they knew it, they were gone.
G asked for a plain meringue this time, so I whipped one up with the leftover eggs. I now have 10 egg yolks to deal with.
Later, I packed up the mugs and ceramic pens. G is going to decorate our plain office mugs — a little something for my colleagues to remember me by. No doubt that will become a blip at a later date.
We had a bit of fun with my colleague who is also retiring in May, we are going to form The Early Birds Lunch Club (early because we've both taken early retirement) we’ll be affectionately known around town as the Prosecco Penshioners ... it did make us laugh. I text my plan to her and she was actually out practicing this as she was on annual leave .... it did make us laugh.
Extras is G again a screen shot from our facetime, she's sat in the chicken run where her baby chicks are getting used to being outside.
