Ani

Today we visited the ancient ghost-town, Ani which is right on the Armenian border.
The town was destroyed hundreds of years ago in an earthquake and you can walk round the many atmospheric ruins of what is left.
Beside it is the river between Turkey and Armenia, but unfortunately we couldn't cross it.
After, we had a wonder round Kars, to see all the old Russian buildings from when the town was occupied by the Russians.
