Flora and fauna along the bike trail

With another beautiful day in store, the bike trail was calling our name! So we got out late morning, and drove to Morrow to begin our ride, since I’d remembered this stretch was good for Spring wildflowers, and we weren’t disappointed. It’s such a gorgeous time of year, with the varying shades of green in the new leaves, Redbuds and Dogwood in bloom, and all the Spring wildflowers. Another treat along our ride was spotting three deer wandering along the creek. I have Roger to thank for this sighting, as they blended somewhat with the stream bed, and I may not have noticed them. They kept an eye on us, as I slowly got my camera out of my bag, but didn’t scamper off immediately, so I was able to get a few quick photos. I managed 12 miles return today. It was really warm by the time we finished, so when we returned home, we treated ourselves to an iced coffee with a scoop of ice cream, enjoyed out on the patio in the sunshine!
