Preserved

With visitors arriving today and a ‘final’ clean and tidy up, there’s little chance of getting out for photography. 

I’ve kept some tulips from before our trip to Madeira, left drying in a vase. They’ve drooped gracefully, their now desiccated stems and leaves devoid of colour whilst the flowers themselves have that intense concentration of colour that comes with age. 

So for Flower Friday it’s a vase of preserved tulips.
