Had a really interesting afternoon with Tim and Adele .
We had booked to do a walking tour of 1960’s architecture in Halifax.
We met at 1pm and had over two hours of walking to observe mainly concrete examples of that era, especially effective in contrast to the Victorian architecture which is abundant to the town.
Really interesting and fabulous for photography, just wish l had taken my proper camera.
Finished at the former headquarters of Halifax Building Society, a controversial building over the years but it is now a listed building and subsequently under scaffolding as it is upgraded to become more energy saving.
Obviously we couldn’t see the building ( work on it should be completed by the end of the year) but l did manage to photograph the air vents  that sink down to the floors below ground.
It was Adele’s first place of employment and she worked at -5 level where all the house deeds were stored.
