Sad but True

Evening Out

This evening the girls rode and I walked the dog. It was a beautiful quiet way to end the day. At the Livery Yard we were the last to leave but that has the advantage that we had the place almost to ourselves.

The young ladies headed uo the drive and along the road, fringed with woodland and birdsong. The midges were out too so fronds of Bracken proved to double as fly swats. Dog and I followed at a distance, never really keeping up but having time to pick bilberries along the way.
