Cosmos

It’s been a long day…I didn’t sleep well and the little one woke very early but when I ignored him he cuddled in and went back to sleep but was wide awake by 6.40am. I expected him to be picked up mid morning but that didn’t happen and I got a video call from my son in law just after 12 saying his Mum was coming down for him, his Mum was also ringing at the same time then the care home also decided to join the party…it was mayhem with the wee one also trying to find out who was ringing up! Mum had had another fall and was being shipped to hospital to be checked out, 7 or so hours later she’s waiting for scan results and a physio and will be shipped back to the home later tonight…that’s assuming an ambulance is free at any time.

Once the wee one had gone I had a tidy up and some lunch then took a much needed nap. I’ve spent much of the time since on the phone or waiting for a call…my niece was going to drive down to see Mum after she finished work  so I was going to go with her but we needed to know what was happening before we set off on a 120 mile round trip. My niece waited here until the hospital confirmed Mum was expected to be sent back tonight.  Not the relaxed afternoon I had planned!

The cosmos seeds I got for Mother’s Day are doing well thus far, hopefully I can keep them alive until they flower.
