Not the Parkrun

SATURDAY

I had to collect the car from the garage at Lloc this morning, specifically between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m., as the proprietor was closing early — he had a trip to the airport.

After Thursday’s mishap, when I wrecked the tyre and inner tube on my old bike, I managed to get it back on the road within 24 hours, thanks to some tyres from my friend John and a replacement inner tube from Amazon.

So, this morning, I pedalled 7 km along the country lanes to pick up the car. The route involved a 180-metre climb — a good workout first thing — but after that it was all downhill.

No parkrun for me today!
