I don't know about the crows...

...but this figure on the adjoining plot to ours at the allotment certainly unsettles me!  It has a ritual look to it, like something out of The Wicker Man. Still, I managed to put it sufficiently to the back of my mind to  prepare and string the frame ready for my wife to plant her runner beans. Our plot had been rather neglected  - which is not a good look for the new Chair of the Allotment Association - but we have been able to put a few hours into it over the past couple of weeks and it is beginning to look a little more respectable. Embarrassingly, I was asked for advice on rhubarb by another plot holder - I'm only there for the labouring work not the actual cultivation, about which I know very little. Fortunately my wife was following and was able to provide authoritative guidance whilst I just muttered 'rhubarb, rhubarb' to myself.
