Aberlady

Went down to East Lothian this afternoon in the lovely sunshine and had a walk down to Aberlady beach. It was breathtaking. A huge sweep of sand with only two of us on it, the clouds towering over us in a bright blue sky, with light patches chasing each other along the sand and dunes. I'm used to finding achingly beautiful deserted beaches in the North West of Scotland, but today we were no more than 30 minutes drive from the centre of Edinburgh. Fantastic day, finished off with an ice-cream in North Berwick. Howzat!
