CIRCLE OF LIFE
I took this in the old cemetery this afternoon, which I haven't visited for at least a year now that we live at the other end of town and no longer just across the road. I was on my way home from a rehearsal with the care home choir where, among other things, we practised a hymn that our Lazarus-like member Jim wants us to sing at his funeral when it eventually happens. I've mentioned before that it's been a very close call for him on several occasions in the last eighteen months or so but he keeps on keeping on while putting his affairs in order. He was with us this afternoon too, singing strongly and making sure we were going to be using the correct tune, as there are several, and making the point that as it's his favourite hymn he wanted to hear us singing it before he departs.
And I've just had the lovely news that one of my nephews and his wife welcomed their first baby just after 8pm, a third granddaughter for sister K.
