His Nibs

I like a fountain pen and worked for a couple of years for The Parker Pen Company. Though writing with a pen has done nothing to improve my poor handwriting.

His nibs was also the term that my Mother used when talking about anyone who she thought to be pretentious.

Due to heavy low cloud last night we did not see either the International Space Station or any meteors. It did feel strange to be lying on a deck lounger in the garden at midnight looking up at the sky.

Tonight sees the start of Chester FC's home campaign in the football conference. On Saturday we had our first game away from home and suffered a 3-0 reverse against Edgar David's Barnet FC. Tonight will be another stiff test for us against Hereford United who were sixth in this league last term.
