Visiting the Museums

I decided to encourage Charlottes interest in history today by taking a visit to the two museums in the city centre. We went to the City Museum first and she loved the interactive parts where she got to make a puppet and dress up as a roman soldier.

They have a display on which really freaked her out and left her very upset. I'm not impressed that they haven't made it obvious that its inappropriate for young children. A small sign we noticed on the way out is not enough really!

We also went to the Folk Museum where she spent ages playing with the old fashioned toys and putting on a puppet show. She also loved the Victorian classroom and the jukebox.

I invested in the family annual membership thinking that it would be good for school holidays when I'm childminding as it allows two adults and up to 5 children on it. I think we will use it a lot.
