The Ashes

We'd great seats high in the west stand within easy stagger of the beer tent. Saw a great day's cricket the highlight being a century from Bell which put England in a strong position. Lots of Scots in the crowd and had to spend a bit of time explaining to some locals that many Scots support England at Cricket ( especially when playing Australia) . I can understand why this could be confusing . Great banter in the crowd and the barmy army in great voice. Top prize for outfit goes to a chap in a Bertie Bassett outfit. Also lots of cross dressing on view and at least one person dressed as the Honey Monster.
The chap next to me was a GP from Durham so managed to get a bit of medical chat in between overs.
