Reader Girl

After the "incident" with my monkey last night, I'm not surprised to greet a tentative little A when they arrive at home this evening. I asked if she'd be a good girl tonight, to which she replied with a loud "No!" - Great, I thought to myself, there goes another evening.

She continued to be cranky and proceeded to test the waters a few more times. I suppose something finally clicked inside her, as she made the association between her misbehaviour with predictable consequences. Of course I gave her plenty of compliments and rewards when she complied with our requests. That seemed to have stopped further battles with little A tonight.

Round 1: mommy wins (whew!)

So there she was, reading her book out loud, in babbles, to herself.

And all is well.
