Piesse Brook was babbling,frogs were burbling, rain was falling and Astro was alternatively sheltering and hanging precariously from the brook's bank.
Had he fallen in I have no idea where he may have finally ended as he is a panicky pup when deep water is concerned.

The wettest August in nine years and so it continues to rain this evening.
Very good news for this neck of the woods.
