Marialles
Three of us set off on the walk to the refuge at Marialles. I had intended to take the forest road up as far as le Randé but the road was so rough that I abandoned the car half way up the track. This added an hour to the walk but that just lengthened the enjoyment. At 1700 metres the edge was taken off the heat, the brooks were babbling, the air clear, the sun bright and it was perfect for walking in scenery that opens up in this location to wide vistas and splendid grandeur.
