Spanners

Wandered up the Royal Mile at lunchtime, was pretty uninspired by the acts peddling their wares. This lady had attracted quite a crowd of photographers, probably because her act was as mad as a bag of spanners.

Right some music, the latest video from These New Puritans a band I listen to over and over again in an attempt to find that hook that draws me in, but somehow it just slips away. Take this latest one for example the repetitive keyboards, the lazy sweep of strings, the half whispered backing vocals - all great, but then the main vocals horrible, some of the electronic noises are lifted straight from a 90's computer game, it just stops working. Then I play it again.
