Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Sort of Foggy

The fog rolled in and the fog rolled out and repeated that behavior most of the day; it was intriguing to watch.

While it was still early afternoon, we drove several blocks to the library. Before we left the house the three K9s put on their sad faces, so we took them in the car with us. It was so sunny and warm at that moment that we could not leave the pups in a car with rolled-up windows while we were in the library. There was no shade anywhere and the sun was bright.

Crazy fog—mixed with sun, mixed with breeze, mixed with warmth. It’s summer, then it’s winter, then it’s summer again.

So at the library Mr. Fun went inside and I stayed in the car with my laptop balanced on my knees downloading photos from my camera, back-blipping several days of photos, and sending some photos to my email so I could have them on my iPhone so I could text them to friends. My iPhone is not sending emails at the moment, so the only way I can get them on my phone is to email them from my computer to myself. Oh the wonder of technology! My iPhone is soon to be 4-years-old and soon to be replaced (I can’t wait).

While at the library my computer announced to me that I was operating on reserve battery. Good grief – I had it plugged-in all night—oops, I had the cord plugged-in to my laptop, but it was not plugged into the outlet on the wall. I guess that is more than a minor detail—having it plugged it at both ends is essential. So I immediately stopped the computing and powered-off my laptop.

On the way back to the house we drove near the pier. Lots of folks had their blankets on the sand and the sun was bright.

Mr. Fun was hungry, which is a fairly normal occurrence. So we stopped at the “super market” on our way to the house so he could purchase the fixings for hot dogs and we would then have a late lunch, which means that I will not be fixing dinner. I’ll be full until bedtime.

We finished eating at 3:15 and Mr. Fun thought we ought to walk the dogs to the beach and not wait several hours to sundown. So we put their leashes on and walked. The pups love this no matter what time of day it is.

We walked to the beach and sat in the over-hang deck just enjoying the warmth of the sun and watching the fog off in the distance swirl over, under, and beyond the pier. That is what I tried to capture in this photo.

Good night from California’s Central Coast.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun, and Chloe, Mitzi, and Max), aka Carol
