Day 8 - Top of the Rock, NYC
Top of the Rock is an observation deck at the top of the Rockefeller Center in New York City. Although it is not quite as high as the Empire State Building, we thought this had a much nicer view as to the north you can see Central Park and to the south, you can see the Empire State Building, Times Square, the Freedom Tower (new tower at the World Trade Centre site) and the Statue of Liberty. It was such a clear day that we could see for miles in all directions. We came here with Katie, my sister's friend who we have been staying with in Bronxville. After this, all three of us went across the road to watch a recording of America's Got Talent at the famous Radio City Music Hall with a live performance from the the Backstreet Boys!
