Gullfoss Waterfall

Day in Reykjavik, Iceland where we visited Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir. Thingvellir abounds not only in the History of the world’s oldest legislative assemblies (AD 930) but in outstanding natural beauty, with its stunning lake, lava landscape, and rugged chasm walls on the rift where Europe meets America at the Continental Divide. Next stop Gullfoss Waterfall where the river Hvita drops 96 feet in two waterfalls and then onto the Geysir area to see the most active, Strokkur, spout a high column of boiling water 60 feet into the air every 5-6 minutes.
