Arctic fox

A day in Isafjordur, Iceland. An afternoon tour included a visit to Sudavik village and the arctic fox centre to learn some interesting facts about the only native animal to Iceland. Sudavik was devastated by a snow avalanche in the winter of 1995 destroying a part of the town and the new part of the town was built after the avalanche. The town’s church was “Stolen” or should we say moved from another village, when it became inhabited, and rebuilt in Sudavik. In the church we enjoyed some Icelandic music sung by children from the local School.
