Sumburgh Head

We arrived in Shetland today, rolling our bikes off the the Aberdeen ferry. After picking up supplies in Lerwick we headed south, into a strengthening headwind. Unfortunately we arrive in Sandwick a bit too early for the Mousa Ferry. Not wanting to sit around for 2 hours we continued south, arriving at Sumburgh Head. We were keen to see Puffins close up. We've seen Puffins before, but have never got very close. Sumburgh did not disappoint. This photo was taken with my 14mm lens, so I was pretty close. Afterwards be popped into the Sumburgh Hotel for some refreshment, before setting up camp on the nearby beach. Spent the evening sat on the dunes watch Fumars skimming along the saw.
