Vintage Country Wedding
A family day today. We all assembled for my niece's wedding in a lovely village church. I had the privilege of being able to take part in the service with the sermon and prayers.
Their theme was vintage country and everyone had gone to town dressing up in vintage style. The reception was in their garden over the road from the church. They had hired a huge marquee, which was decorated with bunting and hay bales. There was apple bobbing, a coconut shy and hook a duck. This van was parked at the front of the drive and offered Pimms to all the guests straight after the service, served in jam jars with straws, and there was a jacket potato stall to serve all the guests.
The weather was kind to us, with only a few minor raindrops before the service started. We left the church in beautiful sunshine.
Entertainment was a family affair, the music being provided by three guitarists - the grooms father, uncle and 10 year old son, my gt-nephew. They were superb.
I am sure everyone had a wonderful time on such a special occasion.
Thought I would use a post processing filter to give this a vintage feel.
