Lego

3years 300days

Fun day today! We headed off for a day shopping in Leeds. We went to a local car boot sale o the way. We got a topsy and Tim bumper book for 10p and some very bargainy Lego, plus Katie had a lolly and some satsumas. We headed back on our way and hit Leeds approaching lunch time. We decided we would lunch at ikea. Of course lunch at ikea also involved some browsing, playing and lots of fun. Katie adores the kids chairs that have a canopy that pulls right over and spins round so was in those for ages. She thinks feeling dizzy is hilarious. We managed to leave buying just a small rug for her and Tupperware. Oh and a small picture frame. Katie had her first ikea meatballs (thank goodness the horse scandal has taken place already!).

We headed in to the city centre. First stop was the American sweet shop and Katie was delighted to see her beloved m&m characters. It set off a long chat about her time in the big shop with miss pink. We went then to the Lego store. She's really taken with her Lego and I had said she could choose some people. She enjoyed doing the "design your own" option and has a pirate with a safari hat, a lady with 80s hair and a man with a beard in scuba diving apparatus. She then fell asleep on my back in the buckles. While she was snoozing we found a seriously awesome monkey tshirt for her. A couple more short stops and I managed to encourage her to wake. We got her a bottle of milk and he managed to blow the paper wrapper off the straw for the first time, to her amusement.

We are currently en route home and she's fully exploiting her ability to see a panoramic view out the back. To spot "steadys". Katie my little Eddie stobart spotter.
