A girl's best friend

I went to see the Client today - and they are based just round the corner from Hatton Garden, London’s jewellery quarter since medieval times, and the centre of the UK diamond trade.

Apparently, (here comes the history Fact Fans), the name ‘Hatton Garden’ is derived from the garden of the Bishop of Ely, which was given to Sir Christopher Hatton, the Lord Chancellor and Queen's favourite, by Elizabeth I herself in 1581.

Anyway, the Client meeting went very well, as did the subsequent meeting with my prospective employer, so it looks like I might be able to afford one of these beautiful antique jewelled rings soon :-)
