Barely there broccoli

Every year we have the same battle with the slugs and snails in my garden. We were winning for the first month or so, but then we got over-run, and they won by sheer force of numbers.

Out of 6 broccoli plants, only this one survived (barely). There is one head on it. Tonights blip is my entire crop of broccoli, with my thumb as s size reference.
