Lizard King

We slept late today for the first time this holiday. We woke to find it raining and much cooler than yesterday. We went into Moab and browsed the shops before our afternoon trip. The rain stopped but there is more on the way.

Josh from Paddle Moab picked us up from our hotel and drove us to a spot further up the Colorado River to try our hand at Stand Up Paddling. The river is surprisingly warm so falling in wasn't too bad. Falling in is part of learning how to SUP!!

We navigated a few rapids on the way and Josh said we did really well for first timers. We got back to the bus just as the weather closed in on us, the wind picked up and it really started chucking it down. Timing is a gift.

No cameras on our SUP, but this little lizard caught my eye as we got back to our hotel.

Tonight we ate at Zak's - a forgettable experience - they got our order wrong and the food was cold- so the manager only charged us for our drinks.

We have packed up a little as tomorrow we move on to Capitol Reef.
