2013 Sunday -- Linda's Birthday

Our friend Linda and her granddaughter Mindy drove to the Central Coast today after church. We have known Linda for years. She is a special friend.

Linda and Mindy are starting a two week journey wandering north on the coast with the ultimate destination of Portland, Oregon, where Mindy will get her flight home. She lives in Arizona. Then Linda will make her solo drive back to southern California. Linda has been a widow for just a little over a year.

Today is Linda’s birthday so we celebrated her. Our friends, Al & June, who own a vacation home in a mobile home park in Cayucos, were also at dinner with all of us. So the six of us had a terrific time together. We were telling Linda and Mindy all the places they ought to stop at tomorrow along the beautiful coastal drive from here to Monterey.
