Small Heath

I think this was a small heath butterfly. There were lots fluttering in groups in the open grasses by the woodland path in Blean but theysettled only for a moment and with wings furled. This one we found in the road next to the car, barely alive. We put it in the hedge to die amidst greenery at least.
