The Village Green

Actually until a few years ago this was a run down part of Paisley but old, uninteresting buildings were cleared away, a new road made and some landscaping carried out. The result shows what a difference some investment and a little imagination can make.

The building in the middle distance was the Conservative Club and with the decline of that party in Scotland the building could have gone into serious decline. Instead it is now a law company's office and it has been cleaned and refurbished.

The town's Liberal Club still exists but sadly that building is in need of some TLC.
