Little Tortoiseshell

Butterflies rarely hang around for me, and it doesn't help that whenever I stop to point my camera at them Polly takes the opportunity to roll in whatever shrubbery they are posing on and scares them away. I just about got this one in focus before Polly saw it off.

I have no idea if the above makes sense as I feel a little delirious. I managed to drag myself in to work this morning, following an hour's sleep having been awake all night with my sore throat, but bailed out at lunch time. Stupid coughing-and-spluttering-man-on-plane!

Oh my god! Just seen my year ago blip and IT'S BASIL'S BIRTHDAY TODAY!! I must do something to celebrate it!
