The Capitol

Today we visited the Capitol, at the other end of the Washington Mall. Incredibly, I booked the tour from the comfort of my own armchair via the online site - and the tickets were there waiting for us. The building was very elegant, and full of history. We got a short film show, then a tour of the two central rooms. The House and the Senate were not sitting for the summer, so we missed seeing any action, but what we did see was impressive, and well organised. Worth viewing.
