Dear deer

We travelled up by train from Washington DC to New Jersey today, and we were picked up at the station by my cousins from New Providence. We spent a lazy afternoon and were surprised by this white-tailed deer who crept up in the back garden and started to nibble the bushes. They are remarkably tame here, and slink in between the suburban houses like natives - hard to believe we are only 23 miles from New York City.
